Kern River Heights

— Bakersfield, CA —

Kern River Heights:

Kern River Heights is located on the heights of Kern County in Bakersfield, California, just 15 miles from downtown Bakersfield and 100 miles north of Burbank Airport. The proposed master-planned community design includes approximately 1,000 residential units on 2,275 acres. The site is unique in that it offers large lot housing with stunning typography and views of rolling hills, compared to the density and flat topography commonly found in the Central Valley.

The 600- to 2,000-foot elevation above greater Bakersfield provides not only incredible views, but also climatic relief during Bakersfield’s hot summers. The project is self-sufficient with on-site water production and has been designed to include a mixed-use town center, a market/grocery store, a community park, walking trails, and a biking/riding trail system. Designed as the premier location for Bakersfield’s rapidly growing market, Kern River Heights can offer a range of housing options, from attached and cluster homes to large lot ridge homes.

Pursuing Entitlements

Achieving entitlements is very promising due to the self-sufficient on-site amenities and mitigated traffic. The community does not burden Kern County for water supply as the project has its own sustainable water source. Product mix is anticipated to include varying sizes and types of single and multifamily housing, appealing to a broad range of supporters and end users. The land is available for sale.
